COVID-19 Dental Practice Owners Checklist
- Stay informed about local, state and federal recommendations for the current COVD-19 situation
- Keep up-to-date contact information readily available, including all employees and key
external contacts such as insurance carrier, commercial broker, accountant, etc. - Regularly update practice website and social media with pertinent information, such as
new office hours, office closure, or accepted emergency cases - Test remote access for necessary systems and staff
- Reach out to patients with upcoming appointments to let them know the status of their
appointment; reschedule as needed - Communicate with patients on steps you’re taking to keep them and your practice safe
- Be clear and honest about the expectations you have for patients, such as needing to
reschedule their appointment if they don’t feel well - Ensure that patients sanitize their hands when they arrive at and leave the office
- Have additional hand sanitizing stations around the practice for patients and staff
