5 things your website needs to attract patients

With everyone glued to their mobile devices it only makes sense that they’d search for a dentist online. So if you want to keep up with other practices a website is crucial to being found and then chosen by potential patients.

But simply having a website isn’t enough. You need to maximize its features so that it makes you stand out from competition and gives patients a reason to choose you as their dental care provider.

    This one is two-fold. For your patients having a website that responds to the size of their devices makes navigating easier—no need to zoom in or scroll side to side to find what they’re looking far. And it makes it more likely you’ll be found when searched—Google ranks mobile responsive sites higher in their search results because more than half of searches are on mobile devices.
  2. Easy to access contact information
    You should have your phone number with a call to action like “Set up an appointment today” in an easy-to-find location on your homepage. Also, in the footer or header of every page you should have your phone number, address, and any social media platforms you use. Add a “Contact Us” page with a map showing your location and any additional contact information you think necessary.
  3. Doctor and team photographs and bios
    You want your website to build trust with future patients. The best way to do this is to provide photos and a little information about everyone who works in the office. That way you’ve already started building a relationship with patients before they even walk in your door.

    Have a form where patients can request an appointment that includes dates and time frames that best fit into their schedule. This way you can get their business even if they remember to schedule an appointment outside of your office hours.
  5. Online bill pay
    At the end of the day you want to make your patients’ interactions with you as easy and pleasant as possible. And while no one likes paying bills, making it as simple as possible for patients is a big win. Let them pay it online and be done with it.
