It’s time to gear up for another great gathering of periodontists. This November 14-17 in Orlando the American Academy of Periodontology will host their 101st annual meeting.
This year’s meeting boasts quite a few new events to take advantage of. One of these is the Young Professionals Fast Track. This is a great opportunity for those who are new to periodontology (5 years or less post-graduation) with sessions such as, Innovations in Periodontics and Special Young Professionals Event: Transitioning to a Powerful Practice. About this event the meeting’s Advance Program states young periodontists “will leave feeling empowered and armed with tools for best practices and practical tips.”
Also, the 2015 meeting offers a Dental Hygiene Symposium. The goal of this event is to emphasize the role of registered dental hygienists in periodontal care and demonstrate they are key players in making sure patients receive comprehensive dental care.
Not to mention this year’s meeting offers more than 25 continuing education hours and has over 40 courses to choose from. These include courses on anything form periodontal regeneration and insurance to implants and social media.
Really this meeting has something for everyone. And come on, who wouldn’t want to spend a few days soaking up the Florida sunshine?
